These room-sized remnants are showcased next to the Primrose Mill shop so while you can browse the sample books, you can also see same quality carpets ready to take away at attractive prices. From 100 per cent luxury wool to 80/20 wool mixes, the extensive range of carpets is available in a wide variety of colours.

Primrose Mill have years of experience in the trade and are keen to get their message across to householders. Despite the competitive price tags there is no compromise on quality, as they explains: "There are no gimmicks here and we are very service-orientated. We are a long-established local firm with a lot of customer. Some high street names will offer massive discounts but their net prices will still be higher than ours and that is before they start to add their extras."

Primrose Mill has a long history of manufacturing. It became a print works in the early 19th century and in 1854 was divided up into separate businesses with the original four-storey mill used for cotton spinning. It was also a bleaching and dyeing works at one time and more recently was used to manufacture carpets.

While carpet is no longer manufactured at the mill, Primrose still sources the majority of its floor coverings from the UK. That means they are of the best quality and easily accessible. So when you have made your choice, your carpet can be ordered and fitted within days. Primrose has a team of independent fitters - all local experts, who they can call on to fit your carpet too.

When you visit the showroom, manager Graham Blackburn assisted by Trevor Thornber, will be on hand to offer their expert advice. They have many years experience with Primrose so their knowledge and expertise is highly valued.
